“Trends in Microscopy” (TIM) is an international meeting series supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The event
TIM 2016: “Grasping Higher Dimensions”
will be hosted by BioDIP (Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform) at the DFG-Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden (CRTD) and is endorsed by the DRESDEN-concept, the Dresden Institutional Strategy concept within the German Excellence Initiative. The event will be co-organized by German BioImaging (GerBI).
Modern microscopy techniques are essential tools of growing impact in the modern life sciences. The rapidly evolving field of emerging techniques and new applications challenges researchers to keep pace. The meeting series “Trends in Microscopy“ constitutes an effective meeting point for developers, users and suppliers playing an important role in disseminating information about new technical developments and applications.
The focus of the TIM 2016 will be put on imaging techniques in higher dimensions - space, phase and time:
2. Adaptive Optics / Deep Tissue Imaging
3. 3D Electron Microscopy
4. Phase and Holographic Imaging
5. New and Notable Techniques
We cordially thank the local Scientific Advisory Board for their strong support:
Stefan Diez and Stephan Grill (BioDIP Coordination Group)
Jan Huisken and Pavel Tomancak
